Print jobs can be sent from the public access computers or from a patron’s personal laptop via the library’s wireless network.
The software visually advises the Patron of total pages sent to the printer and total costs for the print job. Page counting is accurate for all native Windows and Macintosh platforms.
The Library may select certain URL’s to print for free or allow free printing of a certain number of pages.
The system allows Patrons to pay for printing with coins, bills, credit/debit cards, cards for vend devices and on-line debit accounts.
The system supports a patron ID and password that protects print jobs from being printed or deleted by others at the print release station.
The software provides the ability to cancel a job at the workstation or release station.
The system also acts as a card value encoder for the existing card vend device, if configured with coin, card, bill and/or credit/debit card acceptance.
The software gathers statistical information from each transaction in reports that can be viewed on any web browser either on the intranet or over the internet.
DigiNet allows for printing to multiple printers, and different rates to be assigned to different printers and for different document types.
Configuration information is centralized to simplify administration.

The software supports a provision to override print release charging using a staff key or credit card.
